
Next to regular Network Meetings and financial support for female PhD- and Master students the initiative Young Women in the CRC 701 generally promotes the idea of a scientific career in Mathematics. Therefor other events like information sessions, experiential reports, scientific talks or whole lecture series are organised, which are intended for all students and scientists.
The Young-Women-Initiative visits the SUB Göttingen (location of the Central Archive for German Mathematics Bequests). This guided library tour with insights in the bequests of different mathematicians is all about Emmy Noether's way to habilitation.
The travel costs are funded by the Young Women in the CRC 701. Limited number of participants! Please register until Friday, 03.03.2017.

Doing one's PhD needs a good self management and a lot of self discipline. This one-day workshop offers the possibility to get to know certain technics in order to improve your self- and time management.
It is intended for all female PostDocs, PhD- and interested Master-students.
Applications are possible until February 19th.

Starting a PhD in Mathematics? But what to do afterwards? In order to provide possible answers to these questions we organised a Panel Discussion with three female scientists telling about their personal experiences during their PhD and further career in academics and economics.
This event is intended for all PhD students and all students being interested in starting their PhD in Mathematics.
The Women in Mathematics Day is an annual event for all mathematicians from undergraduates to professors organised by the London Mathematical Society. It includes talks about different mathematical research areas, panel discussions, poster sessions and time to meet and get to know other mathematicians.
The workshop is from 16th to 17 April and takes place at the University of Oxford. For further information please see the poster nearby or visit the related homepage.
Talented female Master- and PhD-students are welcome to participate at this year's Women in Mathematics Day in Oxford. Travel costs can be financed by the initiative Young Women in the CRC 701.

Das ABC der Promotion provides all information worth knowing about a PhD in Mathematics at Bielefeld University. Dealing with issues like financing possibilities, thesis defense and the everyday life of doing one's PhD, it is intended for all PhD students and all students, who are interested in starting their PhD in Mathematics.
Our initiative has helped to organize this series of lectures which aims at providing detailed knowledge in the use of LaTeX and its wide field of application in mathematics. The lectures are intended for students and scientists with a mathematical background and will take place throughout this semester. Please take more information concerning dates and topics from the related poster (in German only).
